Near Sylvia
"Sylvia is one of those little forgotten towns in Kansas, now with a population of about 295. It illustrates the evolution of communities as the town's purpose changes. But still, in these steadfast burghs, you'll find working grain elevators, schools, post offices and cafes." (partial quote from "The Kansas Guidebook..for explorers," by Marci Penner.

Early Morn in the Mountains
"A VERY early view across the White River to the Ozark mountains beyond. Beautiful to see the mist rise from the land. Required a very early call to catch the early morning light in this plein air painting."

Big Sky Country
"It's Montana, the wild country....a fabulous untouched world with deep ravines, high peaks, tunnels, crystal clear rivers and an amazingly few fishermen and campers. A beautiful sight of our natural land."

The Point at Passau
"At the very point of land where the three rivers meet in Germany...the Inn, the IIz and the Danube flowing down from the right. There is a little park there at the base of the hill. All of the city is uphill from there."

Fishin' on the White
"A plein air painting painted when vacationing with family on the White River in the Ozarks. The canoed, fished and kayaked, and I painted...happily."

Glen Canyon
"The river flowing from Powell Dam is really the beginnings of the Grand Canyon, only more subtle. Great fun to float the river in a pontoon, noting all the petroglyphs in the rocks, lunch on the sandbar, and enjoy all the gorgeous colors, forms and shapes of the rock as we pass by."
